Profile |
|
The new 5th generation R32 represents the most powerful Golf yet. 247bhp is well up on the Gti but performance is near identical as the R32 features an excellent but heavy 4-wheel drive system. This means handling and traction are superb, while performance is swift but not class leading.
The Golf is of course a practical machine coming in 3 or 5 door versions. Top of the options list is the superb DSG gearshift (as seen on the Audi TT) which offers near instantaneous, seamless changes throughout the rev range. Traction and stability controls are also part of this excellent value for money package.
