After whetting our appetites with the 2003 concept car, the on/off production saga of Alfa's gorgeous 8C was finally resolved with a limited production run of 500 from late 2007.
The 8C model name first appeared in the 1930's, but the new car features modern, state of the art technology including a steel spaceframe chassis and carbonfibre bodywork. Maserati will be providing the Alfa's 444bhp V8 engine and cambriocorsa gearbox. Indeed the 8C will actually be constructed alongside Maserati's own 4200 Coupe.
The 8C Competizione has been a long time coming which will surely only add to it's desirability, even at £110,000.
