Brabus claim that the Merc CLS based Rocket is the world's fastest saloon car with an unrestricted top speed of 218mph (227mph derestricted) and a 0-200kmh time of just 10 seconds.
The power behind such astonishing performance is a twin turbo Mercedes V12, bored out to 6.2 litres to produce a mighty 789bhp and even mightier 1047 lbft of torque - this is actually limited to 811 lbft to preserve the drivetrain! The Rocket is as adept at stopping as it is at going forwards thanks to 12-piston callipers on the enormous front brakes. Coil spring suspension is also an option for improved handling. Brabus' bespoke body styling not only looks the part but has practical aerodynamic purpose as well, although the LED illuminated body skirts have dubious taste.
It's not cheap at around £300,000 but for the ultimate in continent crushing saloons, look no further than the Rocket.
