Bristol have entered the exclusive 1000bhp club with the latest incarnation of their super coupe the Fighter T. Powered by a twin turbo version of the Dodge Viper's 8 litre V10, the T outputs a staggering 1012bhp and 1036lbft of torque! This torque figure is so high that Bristol have had to limit it at lower revs in order to protect the drivetrain!
Naturally, performance is wild. 60mph arrives in under 3.5sec while top speed is a limited 225mph (with potential for even more). However, this level of performance comes at a price. The already expensive standard Fighter is now a whopping £352,000 in 'T' form.
After producing a mere 10 Fighters in total, Bristol went bankrupt in 2011 signalling the end of yet another classic British car company.
