However wrong it seems to badge an SUV with the legendary 'M' badge, BMW have produced a balistically fast, luxurious and profitable road car. The 4.4L V8 from the current M3 is dropped into the X6 to produce a mammoth 547bhp and 502lbft of torque. Despite the 2.3 ton weight, the X6M sees 60mph in under 5 seconds and up to 171mph (with sport pack) - close enough to worry many a supercar. This power doesn't come cheap though, with prices starting at £77k in the UK.
Cars such as this would not normally class as sports cars let alone supercars, but with performance to match a Ferrari Testarossa, there's no denying that it justifies it's place in the SupercarWorld database.
