It could be argued that the Lamborghini LM002 was indirectly responsible for the plethora of enormous high power SUVs that litter our modern day streets. Like it's modern counterparts, the LM002 has the looks of a brick outhouse and the environmental credentials of an atom bomb. But that's where the similarities end. Modern SUVs have performance and dynamics to challenge many a so called sports car, but even the V12 from the Countach couldn't spark life from the near 3 ton beast.
300 were produced at around $100,000 a time mainly for the Middle East military markets, perhaps the only environment in which it could really thrive.
