Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss  (2009 - date)

Profile

As a final fling for the (unfairly) much maligned SLR, Mercedes have introduced the McLaren 'Stirling Moss'. Power is unchanged from the 722 Edition, meaning 641bhp and a scorching 0-200kmh time of just 10 seconds. But in it's speedster format with exotic gull-wing doors it looks sensational. Still perhaps too long in the bonnet (leaving a cramped cabin) but nevertheless a unique presence on the road.

Even at a price tag of over £350000, the 'Stirling Moss' is a fitting tribute to Mercedes' legendary racing driver and perhaps what the SLR should have been all along.
