The all new 2010 model C6 ZR1 is Chevrolet’s fastest, most powerful Corvette ever. Featuring the LS9 6.2 litre supercharged V8, this uber-Vette produces a serious 638 bhp and 604 lbft of torque. Performance is therefore quite impressive! An 11 second standing quarter mile and an amazing 7:26 Nurburgring time, eclipses amongst many others, the legendary Porsche Carrera GT.
Weight saving materials are used throughput, with an aluminium chassis and part carbon fibre panelling, but perhaps the ZR1’s most impressive component is it’s brakes. 15.5 inch carbon ceramic discs with 6-pot callipers up front, bring the car from 60mph to a halt in just 29.3 metres, a production car record.
In the states, the ZR1 is yours for just $100k. For such performance, and considering the cost of it’s European rivals, this is truly amazing value.
