Profile |
|
With increased pressure from the likes of the Ferrari 458, McLaren decided that the MP4-12C was not quite up to the job and so the world was introduced to the suitably impressive 650S.
Faster and more thrilling to drive, the 650S moves on from it's predecessor with improved handling and aerodynamics, thanks to technology gleaned from the development of the mighty P1. Class leading acceleration catapults the McLaren to 200kmh in just 8.5 seconds, with a highly believable claimed top speed of 207mph.
It may still lack the ultimate heart pounding thrill of a 458 Speciale or 911 GT3 RS, but considering that Porsche and Ferrari have been refining their road cars for over 50 years, McLaren have done a simply amazing job to get where they are with the 650S.
