BMW's stunning i8 will go down in history as a turning point in the future of performance cars.
It's hybrid electric motor is coupled with a small, efficient 1.5 litre petrol engine, offering the advantages of an electric powertrain (instant acceleration and up to 134mpg) with the reassurance of a petrol backup (in case the meagre 50 mile all electric range leaves you in a sweat). As if this wasn't enough to grab your attention, the i8 also happens to be one of the most gorgeously styled supercars out there, and is on offer for a more than reasonable £100k.
A very significant sports car, that ticks just about every box.
