The long awaited 4th generation Type-R (based on the 9th Gen Civic) has finally arrived and is set to rock the hot hatch establishment.
For your £30k you get a 306bhp turbocharged 4 cylinder (the first Type-R to use a turbo) enabling a sprint to 60mph in around 5 seconds. You also receive a raft of technological features and bespoilered bodywork designed to improve handling and keep the car planted on the road. The resultant design may not be to everyone's taste but is certainly eye catching. The car is available in standard and GT trim, the latter adding automated safety systems, climate control and uprated stereo.
It is testament to motoring progress to see that a modern hot hatch now has the performance of supercars from just a couple of decades ago.
