Following on six years after it's lukewarm predecessor, the new X5M has transformed into a formidable performance SUV.
When considering that the X5M weighs well over 2200Kg, the fact that it out accelerated it's stablemate M5 saloon is quite astonishing. BMW's 'M' division have also worked their magic on the chassis, providing the leviathan X5 with precise, sporty handling that belies it's SUV status.
At almost £100,000 with options, the X5M is not cheap, but is certainly value as you are getting the clear class leader in this category.
