The RS5 is the flagship in Audi's sleek A5 GT range. The V8 engine is based on that of the mighty R8, pushing out almost 450bhp and 500Nm of torque. Traction is helped by the legendary Quattro 4 wheel drive, which blasts the RS fro 0-60mph in just 4 seconds.
The RS5 features a large number of electronic gizmos designed to improve handling while disguising the Audi's rather hefty 4000 lb body weight. The RS5 is undoubtedly fast and refined, but is most definitely a GT rather than the true drivers car that the RS badging suggests.
Convertible version arrived with the 2012 A5 facelift. Further enhancements from 2013 included torque vectoring, carbon ceramic brakes and dynamic ride control.
