Profile |

The new seventh generation Corvette re-introduces us to the classic `Stingray` name last seen way back in the 1970s. This is the Corvette that matches it's european rivals in every area from construction and engineering, to quality and handling
Power is courtesy of a 6.2 litre V8 pushing out an unstressed 460bhp (giving huge potential for the forthcoming Z06 and ZR1 derivatives). 0-60mph is completed in under 4 seconds and the quarter mile is in the low 12's on it's way to a 180mph max.
Although Chevrolet no longer have a presence in Europe, left hand drive Corvettes can still be ordered direct in the UK from £60000. Seems a good price compared to rivals with similar performance but, despite the extra kit, it's frustrating to see that customers in the USA pay the equivalent of just £36k.
