Profile |
|
Astounding six wheeled supercar inspired by the 1970's Tyrell P34 racecar (as was the legendary Panther Six), the Covini C6W finally saw the light of day in 2004 - some thirty years after the idea was first conceived.
Power is courtesy of a 436bhp Audi V8, which pushed the space age 6 wheeler to 6mph in under 4 seconds, on to a claimed 185mph max.
Uniquely, all four front wheels steer and brake, producing an exceptional level of grip and stopping power. Ultra lightweight carbon fibre and glass fibre are used to construct the bodywork, while the look is completed with huge 345 section rear tyres with an amazingly low 25 profile.
This astounding machine entered low volume production from 2011. Not cheap at around £500k, and not that fast compared to it's supercar rivals, but it will top them all in the stop and stare stakes!
