After four years in development, Finnish manufacturers Toroidion unveiled their stunning 1MW electric concept at Monaco's Top Marques show in 2015.
Four electric motors generate a staggering 1341 bhp (equal to 1 Megawatt of power, hence the '1MW' name). Revolutionary lightweight battery technology is also practical, as the whole powerpack can be removed and charged indoors. Performance data has yet to be released, but expect stunning figures of around 0-60mph in 2 seconds and a 250mph plus max. Stylish coupe bodywork incorporates Koenigsegg style butterfly doors, but the interior is very spartan, as you might expect in an early concept.
Originally intended as a Le Mans racer, Toroidion hope to enter limited road car production (if funding is forthcoming) beginning with a run of 100 units. Now the bad news. Price is expected to be north of £2 million!
