The awesome new Bugatti Chiron takes the game on from the sadly departed Veyron.
The reworked W16 now pushes out almost 1500bhp for an electronically limited 261mph maximum (expect the de-restricted Chiron to hit well over 270mph). Acceleration is equally mind blowing, with 300kmh in a Venom beating 13.2 sec. Indeed the power of the Chiron is such that it lapped the Le Mans circuit at a higher top speed than any of the officially competing LMP1 race cars!
With styling inspired by the Gran Turismo concept, the Chiron's stand out features are the door pillar 'swirl' and the distinctive quad LED headlights. Interior is to Bugatti's usual impeccable standards.
A formidable beast to be sure, but the Chiron can be considered evolution rather than revolution. The lack of some form of hybrid powerplant is a little surprising considering how that technology has been adopted by almost all of the Bugatti's rivals.
