Parent company Toyota has announced that Lexus' stunning new super coupe is due to arrive in showrooms early 2017.
Based on the LF-LC concept, the LC features the 5 litre V8 from the RC-F coupled to a state of the art 10 speed automatic gearbox. The luxuriously styled 2+2 layout adds a modicum of practicality over natural rivals such as the Mercedes SL. Although classed as a GT, the LC will no doubt inherit some of the legendary LF-A's handling prowess, ably assisted by Carbon composite body panels, active rear spoiler and a near perfect 48:52 weight distribution.
Prices are yet to be finalised, but sit somewhere around the £65000 mark in the UK. Not bad for such a highly desirable performance car. If you were expecting a little more performance from Lexus' flagship coupe then hold onto your cheque book for the time being, as a 600bhp turbo charged 'F' variant is surely on the horizon in the not too distant future.
