The new Levante signals Maserati's entry into the booming SUV market, alongside the likes of the Porsche Cayenne and Bentley's new Bentayga.
At five metres in length and weighing in at over 2200kg, the Levante is one of the larger SUVs, but hides it's bulk well with a stylishly sculpted exterior. The quality interior is typical Maserati, with an optional luxury pack featuring high quality leather with silk inlays. Performance is brisk (with a 5 second 0-60mph sprint) and handling is quite sporty thanks to the 4 wheel drive and torque vectoring systems.
The base Levante costs £55000, with the 'S' coming in around £5k higher. Astounding value considering the £160k asking price for the Bentayga, which is undoubtedly in a better class, but not THAT much better.
