Boasting 350 metric hp from it's 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine, Ford's Mark 3 Focus RS is simply stunning piece of kit.
The RS has much of the advanced technology and features you would find in supercars costing many times as much, like launch control, 4WD torque vectoring and track inspired Tenneco suspension systems. This bestows the Focus with exceptional traction and handling and helps to despatch the 0-60mph sprint in just 4.5 seconds, while it's Ecoboost credentials keep economy high and emissions low.
The RS looks capable, but the styling is not as eye catching as Honda's Civic, while interior trim is adequate for a car in this price band (optional SYNC 2 touchscreen and luxury pack are a must). Nitrous Blue paintwork with complementary interior trim and black alloys is definitely the best combination.
All this from just over £30k in the UK makes the RS, without doubt, the new class leader in the hot hatch division, and a serious drivers car capable of worrying many a supercar on road or track!
