The hand built Evanta Barchetta has echoes of classic speedsters from the 1950s. British company Evanta and tuning specialists Kahn, produce high quality, bespoke classic cars underpinned with modern technology constructed to modern standards. Handcrafted composite panels are formed over a tough tubular chassis, into which is placed a supercharged Chevrolet LS3 V8 producing a whopping 780bhp (a normally aspirated 450bhp V8 is also available). The sub 1000Kg body weight results in a stunning 800bhp/ton power to weight ratio for spectacular acceleration.
The sleek bodywork incorporates a 'double bubble' structure encompassing the two hidden roll bars behind the passenger compartments. Interior trim has opulent quilted leather and the ambience of a bygone era.
A limited run of only 49 Barchettas will be produced, with prices starting from £125k. So if you want the appeal of a classic Aston Martin / Ferrari style speedster, but without the £1 million price tag, Evanta may well have the solution you are looking for.
