At 190mph, the new M4 GTS is BMW's fastest ever road car. The M4's 3 litre twin turbo straight six is boosted to almost 500bhp thanks to a unique water spray cooling system. With no restrictors to blunt performance, this catapults the GTS to 100kmh in just 3.8 sec, on it's way to that impressive 190mph max. Standard carbon ceramic brakes complete the package.
Over 100kg has been lost, in part through the use of carbon fibre panels and removal of the rear seats. This weight loss, along with fully adjustable suspension, adjustable splitters and mighty rear wing provide epic handling. Larger lightweight 20 inch wheels and fast road Michelin tyres ensure the GTS stays planted to even the twistiest of roads (such as a 7:28 lap of the Ring).
The 700 limited edition GTSs are double the cost of a 'normal' M4 at £122k in the UK. So while impressive, the GTS cannot be considered good value over the already excellent M4.
