Based on the Enzo road car, the stunning FXX was Ferrari's first foray into the lucrative track only market where wealthy individuals can play Schumacher for the day at specially arranged trackdays. The core Enzo V12 is enlarged to 6.3 litres, releasing an amazing 806 bhp (150bhp up on the road car). The FXX contains an advanced telemetry system that allows engineers to produce detailed reports on car and driver performance - all part of Ferrari's XX package.
The FXX was further enhanced in 2009 with the 'Evolutione' edition. This featured a power increase to 850bhp, arriving at a screaming 9500rpm. At least one example has been converted for road use in the UK. Ferrari produced a total of 38 FXXs (although some sources quote 29) over it's four year development cycle, each costing their owners an eye watering £2 million.
