Following in the footsteps of the FXX, Ferrari's Corse Cliente division's latest track only hypercar the FXX K, is based this time on Maranello's current flagship the LaFerrari. The 'K' in the name refers to the KERS energy recovery system, developed from Ferrari's Formula One program, which stores the energy used under braking for increased performance at a later time. Like the base LaFerrari, the FXX K is powered by a combination of V12 petrol and electric motors, in this case delivering a stunning combined total of 1036 bhp. This monumental power, coupled with state of the art aerodynamics, results in a Fiorano lap time of just 1:14, bettering the LaFerrari by almost 5 seconds.
Just 40 FXX K's will be produced. The cost of £2.5 million does however include two years worth of servicing, track days and accompanying input from Ferrari engineers. Quite a bargain then!
