The ultimate expression of the road going P1, the track-only GTR offers an extreme driving experience without the restrictions of road legislation. With almost 1000bhp, slick tyres and F1 aerodynamics to reduce drag, expect mind blowing acceleration and a Nordschleife lap time of somewhere in the mid 6 minutes!
Each of the 40 GTRs produced were only offered to existing P1 customers for whom the £2 million asking price was unlikely to be an issue. As with the Ferrari XX program, McLaren P1 GTR owners qualify for factory assisted track days at some of the world's greatest racing circuits.
Despite the fact that you can neither race the GTR or drive it on public roads, it has proved to be an astute business move on the part of McLaren. And if the urge to unleash your GTR on the highway proves irresistible, then Lanzante will carry out the necessary changes to do just that!
