Lamborghini's Sesto Elemento ('Sixth Element') was a limited edition, track-only development hypercar in the mould of the Ferrari FXX.
The Elemento took the Gallardo's 5.2 litre V10, boosted to 570hp with 400 lbft of torque. Performance was astonishing, with a claimed 0-100kmh sprint of just 2.5 seconds. This amazing figure was mostly down to the Elemento's super light weight of just 999 Kg, achieved by the prodigious use of carbon fibre in its construction (hence the 'Sixth Element' name, i.e:- Carbon).
Just 20 examples of this highly desirable supercar were produced through 2011with an asking price of approximately £2 million. The Sesto Elemento joined the likes of Ferrari's FXX and Pagani's Zonda R in the highly debatable wealthy individuals 'track toy' marketplace.
