Such was the impact of the Project 7 speedster concept, Jaguar decided to create a limited edition production version, making this hardcore F-Type their most powerful production car to date.
Hand built by Jaguar's SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) division, the aerodynamic styling of the Project 7 had echoes of the classic D-Type, in particular the rear 'hump' located behind the driver's head. No less than 567bhp and 516 ftlb of torque were produced by the supercharged V8, while a lightweight hood and racing seats shed over 100 lbs from the base F-Type R's kerb weight. Powerful Carbon ceramic brakes, stiffened springs and a bespoke electronic differential complete the picture.
All 250 examples of the limited edition Project 7 were quickly sold out, the cost being a quite reasonable £130,000.
