The R1R track special is Czech Republic manuafcturer Praga's first road car for 68 years (fittingly, just 68 will be produced to mark that anniversary).
Developed from Praga's R1 racecar, the R1R uses a 390bhp Renaultsport turbo engine to power it's 670kg carbonfibre chassis (0-60mph takes under 3 seconds). To enhance the racecar feel, it has a single seat configuration, although a tightly squeezed two seat option is available. The aerodynamic addenda and gargantuan rear wing create astonishing levels of downforce and mechanical grip, making this one of the fastest circuit cars out there. We eagerly await an official Nurburgring lap time!
Not cheap at £150k, but superbly engineered with a quality feel. Like it's natural rival the Radical RXC, the R1R is essentially a track car with number plates. It's fully road legal, but probably shouldn't be.
