Renault has reintroduced it's Alpine brand in the form of the gorgeous new A110 sports car, with echoes of their legendary rally car of the same name from the late 1960s.
The modern day A110 comes with a newly developed 1.8 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine producing around 250bhp. Not huge numbers, but the Alpine is all about light weight. This compact sports car tips the scales at only 1080 kg, thanks to aluminium construction and a myriad of small weight savings made here and there, like the one piece recaro seats.
The modern interior features leather and alcantara trimmed buckets, with carbon fibre touches throughout the cabin. There are three selectable drive modes, flowing through to the 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
Revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Alpine should hit the streets in early 2018 at a price of around £50k. Watch out Porsche and Audi!
