The facelifted update of the Porsche 991 GT3 (popularly known as the 991.2 GT3) was revealed to an impressed public at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Now boasting 500 hp, the enlarged 4 litre flat 6 derived from the GT3 Cup racer, now screams all the way up to a 9000 rpm redline. To appease the purists, the GT3 will also be available with a choice of 7-speed PDK (faster) or 6-speed manual (more fun) gearbox. Standard features include PASM, LSD, RWS, carbon ceramic brakes and even active engine mounts.
The GT3 will be available in the UK from mid 2017 at a price of around £112k. The 991.2 represents quite a significant upgrade. When you consider how each generation of hardcore 911 is greeted, it is amazing that Porsche seem to find a way of improving it every time!
