Chinese manufacturer Techrules have entered the electric hypercar market with the Geneva 2017 launch of the Ren.
The Ren's 6-motor setup produces an incredible 1300hp (not to mention 1700 lbft of torque) from it's unique diesel fueled, turbine electric recharging drive system (TREV). Claimed performance is a mind blowing 0-60mph dash in just 2.4 seconds, on to a credible 217mph max - and all this with a potential range of 700 miles, at 32mpg and around 100 g/km CO2 emissions.
The aerospace inspired Giugiaro styled bodywork features a doorless polycarbonate canopy design, with variable seating options for 1, 2 or 3 occupants. Brakes are carbon ceramic, suspension is adjustable and for safety, there is a motorsport spec roll cage. The interior features multiple instrument displays, with rear video cameras negating the need for door mirrors.
As of 2020, there is no sign of the Ren reaching production. SupercarWorld will classify it as a concept until we know otherwise.
