Dodge have taken the already insanely fast Challenger Hellcat a stage further to produce the ultimate muscle car, the SRT Demon.
Dodge claim the Demon to be the world's fastest accelerating production car. 0-60mph in a mind blowing 2.3 seconds and a standing quarter in a terrifying 9.6 seconds (faster than a LaFerrari, a 918 or a Veyron). Indeed, the Demon's acceleration is so intense that it even pulls a wheelie during launch! It is optimised for the drag strip, with bespoke Nitro tyres and even a drag style 'transbrake'.
Over 100bhp extra is produced from the reworked Hellcat's supercharged V8 taking the output to 808bhp (or up to 840bhp and 770 lbft on 100 octane fuel). A 200 lb weight saving also goes some way to explaining the demon's record breaking acceleration - you only get 1 seat as standard!
