Chevrolet have taken the C7 Stingray and thrown in some of the best bits of the Z06 to create the new Corvette Grand Sport.
The Grand Sport features the Z51 options pack, which means shorter gear ratios for improved acceleration through the 8-speed auto box (0-60mph now takes just 3.6 seconds). The optional 7-speed manual box is just a coiuple of tenths slower. Braking is phenomenal, stopping from 60mph in a mere 27.4 metres, a production car record.
The Grand Sport also inherits the Z06's chassis, suspension, wheels, tyres and magnetic ride system for amazing cornering grip (the optional Z07 package adds ceramic brakes).
Just $65k buys you a Grand Sport in the USA, with UK pricing to be announced late 2017 (expect somewhere around the £75K mark).
