Launched at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the mighty 600 hp XE SV Project 8 becomes the fastest Jaguar saloon ever made and the fastest ever saloon around the Nurburgring at 7m18s.
Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations unit (also responsible for the F-Type SVR) have fettled the humble XE into a hand built speed machine, whose supercharged 5 litre V8 pushes the 5 seater saloon up to a whopping 200 mph.
The luxurious interior features contrast leather with a high tech 10 inch infortainment system, with stopwatch and g-meter. For those with a penchant for track work, a roll cage can be fitted in place of the two rear seats.
The Project 8 is 75% new, with only the XE's roof and bonnet remaining (albeit now in carbon fibre). A quad pipe titanium exhaust, carbon brakes and adjustable rear wing complete the picture.
Only 300 will be built, all in left hand drive (as this is the preferred layout for optimum weight distribution). £150,000 is the asking price for the most powerful road going Jag there is.
