Profile

The stunning Mirov 2 sportscar was originally built for an insurance company TV advert in the late 1980s. Two mock-ups were produced, one of which was subsequently bought and turned into a roadgoing car in 2003 - the build taking a painstaking 9 years to complete.

Based on a UVA M6 chassis, the Mirov is powered by a 2.7 litre Renault V6 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The fibreglass body is certainly a head turner with it's LMP style looks and distinctive gull wing doors. No details on power or performance, but with a V6 pushing around 1200kg, we can assume it is a lively performer.
