Launched as a concept at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show, the curiously named Aspark Owl is now production ready, adding to the long line of electric hypercars from unknown startups.
Since 2014, Aspark's aim was to produce the world's fastest accelerating electric car. With four electric motors producing a record breaking 2000hp, the Japanese company have set an incredible 1.7 seconds 0-60mph sprint for the Owl. Top speed is over 256mph. It even has a range of 280 miles - when driven like it shouldn't be!
At just 36 inches high, the carbon fibre Owl has a stunning aggressive presence, accentuated by classic gull-wing doors, while the impressive leather lined interior houses all the state of the art tech you will ever need.
£50k deposits are now being taken for the Owl, towards the hefty £2.7m asking price, with deliveries starting late 2021.
Let's hope all 50 examples will eventually be made, so the Owl will not be just another 'fly by night' project ;-)
A prototype next gen Owl, the SP600, set a new EV top speed record in 2024 with an astonishing 273mph.
