The launch of the sublime Mostro coupe at the 2015 Villa d'Este Concourse, saw Zagato celebrate the centenary of long time partners Maserati.
The Mostro is clearly influenced by Zagato's 50 year old Le Mans 450S 'Monster' race car, with additional design cues from many 50s and 60s coupes, but with carbon fibre bodywork and monocell bringing the design right up to date. Power is courtesy of Maserati's 4.2 litre V8, but in an unknown state of tune, expect over 450bhp and a top speed touching 190mph.
Just 5 examples were built, designed for track work (with double wishbone suspension all round and optional racing wing) but still fully road legal. The undisclosed price is thought to be around $1 million.
