Following the 2014 SEMA concept, the third and final version of the American Club Racing (ACR) Viper was introduced in 2016.

The track intentions of the ACR are evident from it's carbon fibre 'Extreme' aero kit, comprising front splitter, diffuser strakes and huge rear wing. The resulting 800kg of downforce (assisted by a 645hp V10, 355 section rear tyres and custom carbon ceramic Brembo brakes) helped the ACR surpass it's predecessors Nurburgring lap record with a stunning 7 minute 1 second lap at the hands of racing driver Lance Arnold. Another 14 national track records followed.

For around £100k ,there are few other supercars that can deliver this kind of hit. Perennial rival Chevrolet's Z06 is the only one that comes to mind.

After a 25 year production run, the legendary Viper came to an end in 2017. The ACR was without doubt a fitting finale to this classic American muscle car. We will miss it's epic 8.4 litre V10.
