Based on the production Q60 Coupe, Infiniti's Project Black S concept was revealed to the public at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Created as a showcase for Infiniti's partnership with Renault Sport F1, the Project Black is a testbed to assess the possibility of bringing F1 tech to the street.
The Q60's 3 litre twin turbo V6 is boosted by a hybrid drivetrain. Power is around the 500bhp mark, supplemented by an F1 style KERS system from Renault. The attractive coupe bodywork sprouts a rear diffuser and a purposeful carbon fibre rear wing, completed with a bespoke set of Pirelli tyres.
Despite currently being a concept, we may yet see the Project Black in production form, financially backed by parent company Nissan.
