Latest F90 M5 has evolved. The twin-turbo V8 remains (now with an incredible 600hp), but out goes the dual clutch gearbox (replaced by an 8-speed auto) and in comes switchable 4 wheel drive. 0-60mph now takes just a whisker over 3 seconds - astounding for a 5 seater saloon. Specify the optional 'M' Drivers Package, and revel in a 190mph derestricted maximum speed.
The exterior now features an M6 style carbon roof which, along with the new rear spoiler, diffuser and quad exhaust tips, give the M5 a more agressive stance. Inside there is an amazing array of assistive technology, such as head up display, 360 degree camera, 10 inch infotainment touchscreen and drivelogic gearshift. The high quality Merino leather is contrast stiched and even comes with an illuminated 'M' badge in the headrest.
The £87k M5 goes on sale in 2018, preceded by 400 limited 'M5 First Edition' models with a £20k price premium.
