Geneva 2018 sees the launch of the hotly anticipated track focused Ferrari 488 Pista.
The Pista (Italian for 'track) is both lighter and more powerful than the already mighty 488. Around 90 kg is shaved thanks to weight saving measures learnt from the Challenge race car, while power is up to an incredible 720hp, making this the most powerful Ferrari V8 in history. Straight line performance is epic (0-200kmh in around 7.5 sec) and a 20% increase in downforce from new front and rear diffusers give high hopes for a record threatening Nurburgring lap time.
The £250k Pista has a hard act to follow in the form of the glorious 458 Speciale, let alone keeping pace with the likes of the 720S and 911 GT2. It certainly has the looks, the pedigree and the pace, we are hopeful that the handling and the noise will also be up to the job. This would cement it's place as potentialy the world's greatest supercar.
A convertible Spider is also available from 2019.
