Hot on the heels of the 991.2 GT3 comes Porsche's even more hardcore 991.2 GT3 RS.

The 6-cylinder engine now produces 513bhp and a screaming 9000 rpm limit, with peak torque of 347 lbft appearing at 6000rpm. Unlike the GT3, the RS is only available with the PDK dual-clutch gearbox, surely hinting at the death of the pure manual transmission?

Aerodynamic revisions continue on from the 991.2 GT3 with side skirts, diffuser and GT2 style rear wing. An even more hardcore Weissach package will become available towards the end of the year.

As with all it's RS predecessors, the £141k 991.2 is destined to become the most rewarding (and one of the fastest) track focused supercars of its day. This will probably be the last of the 991 generation cars, before the all new 992 arrives next year.
