The long 13 year production run of the old V8 Vantage came to an end in 2017, making way for the gorgeously styled, technologically advanced all new Vantage for 2018.
Now powered by the impressive AMG twin-turbo V8, the Vantage kicks out over 500bhp and 500 ftlbs of torque. This power is piped through an 8-speed automatic transmission (more refined at low speed than a dual-clutch, according to Aston), so the 0-60mph time drops to just 3.5 seconds.
The DB11 provides the modern day aluminium underpinnings, for 911 rivalling handling. Despite the huge power on tap, the Vantage still averages almost 30mpg.
At £120k in the UK, the new Vantage commands a £30k premium over its predecessor. This is steep compared to natural competitors such as the 911 and F-Type, but it is after all, an Aston Martin and so justifies its premium pricing.
