With the Continental name now dropped, the second generation Flying Spur was unveiled to the public at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Better proportioned than its predecessor, the restyled Spur has been softened to appeal to important emerging markets such as China. Now available as a twin-turbo 6.0 litre W12 and (from 2014) a 4.0 litre V8, power and torque are up by 63bhp and a whopping 110 ftlbs respectively. Acceleration to 60mph drops to just over 4 sec, but so does top speed, now 'only' 199mph! The opulent (and optional) 'Mulliner' spec, adds 21 inch alloys, alloy pedals and exquisite diamond stiched leather seating.
Now over 13 years old, the Flying Spur is due to be totally reimaged from 2019. In the meantime, grab yourself a real bargain, as the outgoing model can be your from a mere £133k (or less than half of that on the used market).
