The new third generation DBS takes the Aston Martin DB11 and enhances it in just about every conceivable way.
The DB11's twin-turbo V12 is boosted to a mighty 715bhp, while an equally impressive 900 Nm of torque is available from just 1800rpm. At 211mph, not only is the fastest series Aston ever made, but it can hit 100mph from rest in an astonishing 6.4 seconds.
It may carry the Superleggera (superlight) name, but it is certainly no lightweight at well over 4000 lbs. However, all round vented ceramic discs do a good job of wiping off excess speed.
Then there is the styling. The wide front grille, restyled lights and swooping flanks making this one of the most beautiful cars on the road. 21 inch alloys and a fruity quad exhaust system finish off the purposeful stance.
Aston Martin's flagship GT is reassuringly expensive at £225k, although still £40k cheaper than it's rival from Maranello, the 812 Superfast. Production begins 2018, with a Volante (convertible) version following next year.
