The gorgeous Dino Berlinetta Speciale was Pininfarina's take on a potential mid engined Ferrari sports car, eventually leading to the 206 GT 'Dino' road car.
Based on a Tipo 585 chassis, the sensual super-low, curved bodywork took the motoring world by storm when revealed at the 1965 Paris Motor Show. Of particular note was the transparent headlamp cluster running across the whole width of the car.
This would be the last Ferrari concept created under the direction of legendary Pininfarina founder Battista Farina.
For all it's looks, the Speciale was a non runner, with a mocked up engine and gearbox mechanism created for show purposes.
This unique historic concept was auctioned in 2017, eventually selling for an incredible £4 million.
