The long delayed 2023 second generation Tesla Roadster looks set to shatter all existing performance records.
Three electric motors powered by a 200 KwH battery (twice the power of a P100D) will blast the Roadster from 0-60mph in a stunning 1.9sec, with a quarter mile breaking the 9 sec barrier. Top speed will be 'in excess of' 250mph! Not only is the Roadster fast, it is also practical with an asonishing 620 mile (1000 Km) range on a single charge, and at highway speeds too.
There is also talk of an optional 'Space-X' pack, that would boost perforamnce to 1.1 sec 0-60mph with the aid of 10 rocket thrusters!
The futuristic styling house a two plus two seating configuration, and features an electric retractable roof.
The base model should cost around £160k in the UK, with the initial 'Founders Series' requiring an additional $50k. Astoundingly, there's talk of even faster derivatives to come!
