While acceleration to 60mph matches the Chiron (2.3 sec!), top speed actually drops to a limited 236mph, emphasising Bugatti's intention of creating a car 'built for corners'. This is no doubt helped by the weight saving of 35kg over the Chiron.
Although still clearly a Bugatti, there is no mistaking it visually for a Chiron. Restyled front and rear lighting, large front aero scoops, rooftop NACA duct and an enormous rear wing produce 180lbs more downforce than the Chiron. Bugatti claim the Divo is 8 seconds a lap faster around the Nardo test track than its stablemate.
Production is limited to 40 units. Probably wise, as the asking price is a monumental £4.5m, almost twice the cost of the Chiron!
