German tuners Weineck Engineering created the most outragous custom Cobra on the planet in the form of the 780 CUI, complete with an 1100hp, 1300 ftlbs, 13 litre V8! Weineck claimed that this was the fastest accelerating car on sale, with an astonishing 0-300kmh time of just 10 sec.
The 780 is completely devoid of driver aids such as ABS or ESP. Driving one in anger must take nerves of steel. At least the bespoke Bremo braking system gives you a chance of stepping out alive!
The interior was trimmed to customer specifications, while the 1000kg carbon fibre bodywork was classic Cobra, with the exception of the enormous (and necessary) bonnet bulge.
Hard to believe that this Cobra is road legal, it's specs are more reminiscent of a dragster. The 15 examples produced were without doubt the rawest, angriest (and possibly fastest) supercars ever to hit public roads!
