Profile |
|
The legendary Impreza P1 was developed specifically for the UK by Sti and Prodrive market in answer to the large number of unofficial 'hot' Imprezas finding their way from abroad.
Power from the 2 litre turbocharged engine was quoted at 280bhp, but in reality was considerably more. This enabled a rapid 4.5sec sprint to 60mph, a very impressive figure back in 2000.
The P1's aggressive bodywork was enhanced by designer Peter Stevens (of McLaren F1 fame), with new front spoilers, carbon tipped rear wing and trademark OZ wheels.
1000 cars were eventually built, making this one of the most collectable classic Scoobies.
